Washington, D.C. is about to shake—both with patriotic pride and the rumble of military might—as the United States Army rolls into the nation’s capital for a birthday celebration like no other.

Marking 250 years of proud service, the Army is putting on a parade that’s not just a spectacle but a powerful display of American strength, heritage, and readiness.

And leading the charge in support is none other than President Donald J. Trump and Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, both staunch champions of American exceptionalism and military honor.

“This isn’t just a parade. This is a living, rolling museum of our freedom,” Secretary Hegseth remarked ahead of the historic event.

“From the Revolutionary War to the wars of the future—we are telling America’s story.”

Over 6,200 soldiers will be on the ground in D.C., representing a living timeline of American military history.

They’ll be joined by dozens of tanks, helicopters, howitzers, and even a French Renault light tank from World War I.

Historical uniforms will be on display as soldiers march in formation according to era, bringing to life each generation of warriors who’ve defended the nation’s liberty.

“What’s unique about this parade is that the march units are going to be all designed around that specific conflict area,” explained Col. Chris Vitale, the officer overseeing Army birthday week planning.

“You’ll see the ground platforms or aviation platforms associated with that time period, timed with when that march unit passes through.”

Indeed, no detail has been spared. A pair of M4 Sherman tanks will roll alongside the legendary B-25 Mitchell bomber—famous for the Doolittle Raid—while P-51 Mustangs soar overhead.

Also included are WWII-era Jeeps, anti-tank guns, and C-47 Skytrains that once carried America’s bravest into battle.

Modern firepower will also take center stage. The Army is showcasing 26 M1 Abrams tanks, 28 Bradley Fighting Vehicles, 27 Strykers, a HIMARS battery, and helicopters ranging from the sleek MH-6 Little Bird to the mighty Apache and Black Hawk.

The skies will thunder with 64 aircraft in flyovers, featuring everything from Chinooks to historic bombers—an aerial tribute to American air dominance.

Transporting this colossal arsenal has been no small feat. Equipment was shipped by rail from Fort Cavazos, Texas, then hauled into D.C. by truck.

Col. Jess Curry of the Army Corps of Engineers assured reporters that extra precautions were taken to prevent street damage, including the strategic placement of steel plates in high-stress areas.

“If there’s any damage, the Army will be responsible for any damage and the cost,” Curry emphasized.

The parade, which will cost between $25 and $45 million according to Army estimates, is more than a pageant—it’s a tribute. And thanks to the leadership of President Trump, it’s also a promise. A promise that the American military is strong, ready, and deeply respected.

In a powerful moment of unity and patriotism, President Trump will administer the oath of enlistment to 250 new and re-enlisting soldiers during the event.

This is classic Trump: standing with the troops, honoring tradition, and leading from the front. The scene of the President raising his hand alongside America’s finest will no doubt be one of the most stirring moments of the celebration.

Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, a veteran himself and longtime defender of the Armed Forces, has played a critical role in ensuring that the Army’s 250th birthday isn't just remembered—but revered.

With his unapologetic support of the military and his focus on rebuilding strength and morale after years of neglect under past administrations, Hegseth is helping restore the glory and pride of American service.

This parade isn’t just a milestone. It’s a message.

A message to the American people that their military remembers its past, honors its heroes, and under the right leadership, marches boldly into the future.

With tanks rolling down Constitution Avenue and bombers roaring overhead, the Army’s 250th birthday celebration promises to be a day of patriotic pride, military excellence, and above all—American greatness.
