A former midshipman of the United States Naval Academy, Jackson Fleming, now faces federal charges after an online threat led to a campus lockdown and confusion that ended in a shooting injury last week.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Indiana announced on Tuesday that Fleming, age 23, of Chesterton, Indiana, was arrested on Friday and charged with one count of transmitting a threat in interstate communication.
