Investigators also believe that the individual responsible for the fire is the same person who fired gunshots into the vehicles during the attack.
Police have not yet revealed the specific evidence that led them to arrest Kim, but he was scheduled to appear in court on Thursday afternoon.
The attack prompted a response from the FBI, which launched an investigation into the incident.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) Assistant Sheriff Dori Koren said at a press conference that the assailant had used Molotov cocktails and firearms to carry out the assault.

On Friday, a fire broke out at a Tesla charging station in Fargo, North Dakota, which officials believe was intentionally set.
According to the city’s battalion chief, firefighters were called to the scene to extinguish the blaze.
On the same day as the Las Vegas attack, two Tesla Cybertrucks at a dealership in Kansas City, Missouri, were set on fire, with investigators suspecting arson as the cause.
The fires in Kansas City follow another similar incident just a week prior in Seattle, where a suspect poured gasoline on a Tesla Model S sedan and set it ablaze in the Capitol Hill neighborhood.
The suspect reportedly ran from the scene after the car was engulfed in flames.
Earlier incidents targeting Tesla vehicles include a vandalism attack in Lynnwood, Washington, where six Cybertrucks at a dealership were spray-painted with profanity and swastikas.
In a separate incident, a person who identified as a woman was caught on camera vandalizing a newly constructed Tesla dealership in a Chicago suburb.
These attacks have raised concerns about the safety of Tesla’s operations, particularly as they continue to be targeted by individuals and groups opposed to the company.
Adding to the string of incidents, a Tesla Cybertruck was seen burning outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas on New Year’s Day, with authorities calling the event an “active crime scene.”
Kim’s arrest comes as law enforcement continues to investigate these and other incidents, which have led to increasing concerns about the growing trend of violence against Tesla and its vehicles.
The arrest in Las Vegas is a key development in the ongoing efforts to address these criminal acts.
