President Donald Trump issued a forceful rebuke Tuesday against CNN and MSNBC for questioning the success of U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, calling the networks “gutless losers” and demanding they apologize to American pilots involved in the mission, as reported by The New York Post.

Speaking to reporters before departing for a NATO summit in the Netherlands, President Trump responded to ongoing media coverage suggesting that not all of Iran’s nuclear infrastructure was fully destroyed in the recent U.S. strikes.

“I see CNN all night long, they’re trying to say, ‘Well, maybe it wasn’t really as demolished as we thought,’” Trump said. “I think CNN ought to apologize to the pilots of the B-2s. I think MSNBC ought to apologize. Cable networks are real losers. You’re gutless losers.”

The president also criticized network executives directly. “The people that run it, nobody even knows, it’s been sold so many times,” Trump said.

“But the people that run it ought to be ashamed. MSNBC – a guy named Brian Roberts – he heads it. He’s a disgrace. He’s a weak, pathetic disgrace.”

As of Tuesday, neither CNN nor MSNBC had issued a response to the president’s comments.

The media remarks came as President Trump also addressed developments in the fragile ceasefire he brokered between Israel and Iran. Both countries have been accused of violating the ceasefire agreement in the days following the U.S. strikes.

“I think they both violated it,” Trump said. “We basically have two countries that have been fighting so long and so hard that they don’t know what the f**k they’re doing.”

A White House official told CNN that President Trump later spoke directly with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and was “exceptionally firm and direct” in urging restraint.

The official said the president conveyed his appreciation for Israel and that Netanyahu committed to refraining from additional strikes.

The source added that Netanyahu “was keenly aware of the severity of the situation and of President Trump’s concerns.”

Meanwhile, David Albright, a former United Nations nuclear weapons inspector and president of the Institute for Science and International Security, told CNN that Iran’s nuclear centrifuge infrastructure had suffered significant damage.

“It’s amazing how much damage has been done to that program. I think that part of the mission has been accomplished,” Albright said.

The U.S. air campaign, launched over the weekend, targeted multiple nuclear sites believed to be critical to Iran’s uranium enrichment efforts. The Pentagon has not released full details on the extent of the damage.
