President Donald Trump issued a strong warning to Hamas on Wednesday, declaring that he is “sending Israel everything it needs to finish the job” and demanding the immediate release of all remaining hostages.

The message, posted on X following a meeting with freed hostages in the Oval Office, left no ambiguity about the administration’s stance.

“‘Shalom Hamas’ means Hello and Goodbye – You can choose,” Trump wrote.

“Release all of the Hostages now, not later, and immediately return all of the dead bodies of the people you murdered, or it is OVER for you. Only sick and twisted people keep bodies, and you are sick and twisted!”

The warning came just hours after the White House confirmed that administration officials had engaged in direct talks with Hamas to secure the release of additional hostages.

Among those still believed to be held captive is American citizen Edan Alexander, 21, who was taken hostage during Hamas’ October 7, 2023, attack on Israel.

The attack, which resulted in the deaths of over 1,200 people and the abduction of hundreds, led to Israel’s military response and subsequent invasion of Gaza.

After months of intense fighting, a cease-fire agreement was reached in January, halting active combat operations.

Trump’s statement reaffirmed his administration’s full support for Israel, making clear that additional resources and aid would be provided to ensure the country’s military efforts could continue if necessary.

His comments also reflected the administration’s zero-tolerance approach toward hostage-taking and the mistreatment of bodies by terror organizations.

The hostage situation has remained a central issue in diplomatic efforts between the U.S., Israel, and Hamas.

The White House’s confirmation of direct negotiations marks a significant step, though it remains unclear whether those talks have yielded any progress.

As the situation develops, the administration has reiterated its commitment to bringing American hostages home and ensuring that Hamas faces severe consequences if it does not comply with demands for immediate release.
